GARRY HAUSFELD'S PHOTO GALLERYWide Angle Pictures of the Milky Way |
|
These pictures were produced using a film camera with standard 50mm lense mounted piggy-back on the telescope.
Since the telescope is tracking, longer exposures are thus possible than with a fixed camera mount.
These pictures used 800ASA film and exposure times in the range 5-15minutes.
In the lower picture, field rotation has resulted, due to the telescope being Alt-Az mounted.
These pictures show the area around Scorpio and Saggitarius, with the reddish smudge of the Lagoon Nebula clearly
visible in the centre of the top picture.
